Dynamic capabilities and business model innovation in sustainable family farming

Purpose The study aims to understand how dynamic capabilities (DCs) contribute business model innovation (BMI) in sustainable family farming. agrifood sector has been seeking solutions for the development of agroecological markets. Thus, authors have analyzed challenges imposed and sustainability strategic management value proposition sustain over years. Design/methodology/approach Considering complexity organizations through an exploratory multiple case initiatives identified Organic Fair Curitiba’s Passeio Público, it was possible analyze evolution models (BMs) fair itself. Furthermore, identify DCs within influence agroecosystem elements on development. Findings Analyzing each individually, understood different dimensions BMs considering organizational complexity. conclude that balance between practices changes environment, engagement learning plays a significant role developing competitive advantage. same applies patterns precede BMs. Originality/value article investigates from capability perspective. BM is subject still little discussed literature. In addition, chose context includes socioenvironmental aspects few specificities farming Brazil.
